Contentment Survived
The cloud of grey moved across the sky,
Putting its darkness so that the blue and white serene day was closed off
Now it was dark and it was still,
The rain would soon come.
The closeness of the air and the coldness of the sky and then a clap of thunder could be heard!!
He started counting one two three and knew it was three miles away and closing fast
The lightening raged across the sky and then another bang of thunder before the first rain fell.
But the eye was still two miles away the wind now started to blow angry through the trees,
But this was spring so no real rustle was heard just a gentle bend of branches, then the bang and then the lightening again and the eye of the storm had arrived
Clap after clap and rage of light after rage of light fell all around them
Hail stones fell and the noise was deafening as it hit the metal of the cars around him
Bouncing off and running in crazy patterns across the road piling up against the fences
Now rain fell in blankets and the dark sky was complete
Only a few minutes passed and the grey cloud passed and the clap of thunder could only be heard in the distance
Now the blue and white cloud reappeared and contentment survived.
