Wind Blow Empty Wind Blow

Post  RichieO on Mon Jun 04 2012, 00:36

What does this wind bring,
upon this early Morn?.
A wet, cold and driving rain,
it brings as it falls upon the
window of this train.

What misery this rain can bring,
the only joy that can be seen
is in the fields as we watch
this land turn to green.

Another day in June,
is born as I journey
this early morn.
A sense of foreboding
brings misery for those
who wake at dawn.

Has summer lost its way,
like it did in June of 1944.
Will the planners dream
of an invasion be deemed,
for them it will be their
'Day of D'.

Bring forth the Sun of shine,
for happiness to those who seek
the brightness of a newly born day.

So I look out of my window
upon this train,
reflect upon my thoughts
of the pouring rain.

Lets smile, hope and pray
this rain will go away.
But for now let's just live
for another day.

Thank you Jin, just reflecting on another dreary day. Just watching the countyside passing and seeing this country green and pleasent land still brings a sense of happiness within my heart. For another day comes forth and not fifth like me bloody horse.....lol.
I was so disappointed about yesterday's weather for the Diamond Jubilee Flotilla but proud that our Queen and the Britsh people turned out to celebrate the historical occasion.........!!! clapping sunny

Torrants of rain
Hit the window pane
cascading waterfalls blurring my vision
each droplet is drawn
And a one-ness is born
Like mercury in a collision

Outstanding reply Lucie,

How wet can this rain be
Has it falls upon my bonce
An umbrella or hat I seek
to cover a soaking wet head.
No matter I cry, for wet
I shall be, from my hair
I shall but feel, the drips of water
rolling down my neck, towards
a pair of soaking feet.
