No Milk

Go down

No Milk

Post  peewee on Wed Feb 09 2011, 17:08

No Milk

Wake up in the morning
Mouth as dry as dust
Needing lubrication
A cuppa is a must

Go down to the kitchen
To make a cup of tea
But the fridge door is empty
No milk where milk should be

It’s only just turned seven
Milkman wont be here till eight
Another hour totally parched
I don’t think that I can wait

Could mix up the old powder
They say it’s semi skim
But it makes the tea taste funny
In fact it tastes quite grim

I could just have black coffee
But it wouldn’t be the same
Had my heart set on Typhoo Tea
It really is a shame

Could borrow some from next door
I would only need a cup
Trouble is they’re late risers
So I doubt if they are up

I guess I’ll sit and suffer
Plan things better than today
Still it wouldn’t have been a lot of good
Out of sugar anyway

Ya poor thing:-) Gonna ask a silly question, but do you still have milk delivered, or is this a flashback? I can barely remember getting milk delivered when I was a 'little' kid, lol!

Cute writing, Peter . . .

Love the poem very cute indeed......I remember getting milk deliver at the house when I was a tott, it would be great if they still deliver it AND the groseries as well, so much easier when the weather is nasty out, just call the store and look down the list tell them what you want and how many. :P
