The Journy

Post  Robert Anderson on Wed Aug 22 2012, 21:57

The Journey

I wish, I mean , I want
If only to be seen
Again?
, I miss you all
If only to fall on my feet
Against this wall
Why can’t we meet?

Why are dreams a desolate street?
Under a lamp post without the feet
That felt the thunder along with anger
No more of this six feet under
This disillusionment of hunger
My bare bum that played a drum
As Dad would tickle me to mum
I promise I will tell no one
As the laughter ran down my tong

Turn this to a parody or one humdrum, conundrum

I would play the Sax to my maximum capacity
I could be in my Spats and hats
For you mum
With you the moon and stars shone
I could rant and rave and be that loon
Out of tune and with a silver spoon
Now soured with milk
What is, or where is this parody
Going?
My feelings are showing

I need to see you all again
I want to feel your pain within this rain
Within my refrain,,
, I am scared
I can still smile for a while
Then I run A mile in pain
Only wishing to see your faces again

I have a beard , now ?
It grows grey, I have heard
Would you recognise me ?
Am I still the boy I used to be
Or would you pass me bye in a shopping mall
The mannequins or harlequins widow ?
Because that is how I feel
Your deaths were so surreal
Like the meal I never had

And what If I could phone you again?
Could we share in this pain
If I could smile to you all in all this rain
And show you this art, with rant but paint

And you could blow the smoke from my face
Show me or paint me a kiss
Within this anger and hiss
Welcome me to this , my human race
, Bobby

I remember George and Girls
That followed him for a smile
I remember my dad ran a mile
Just to make me show a smile
As I pedalled my first bike
What’s not to like

I wrote two books
And still have my looks
Mum would say I’m palely wally
And stop being so silly
Yer nothing but willy nilly
And I would smile
Yer off your head but on your feet
As the flour rose from her breasts
And landed where it rests
My food, without the mess

Whatever this life has to intend
, we have to meet again
I need to see your faces to mend

I am trying to , I suppose to mature my writing and this will be for the third book . I was asked to do that piece and it was very hard to write, as it brings back so many thoughts you keep in the dark side of your mind , but I am glad it came together , cheers lass , I hope you are having a wonderful Monday xxxxxx

It was sort of experimental , I never or very rarely write around my own thoughts , but I decided this time to let it all out . I lost half my family within a year of each other and it was hell on earth . It took me so long to come to terms . But now it is all out and I feel good. It was just hard to write. Thanks Sue xxxxxx

Thank you lass . I have thrown myself more into writing than art just now ,(for the third book) but I need to ballance it all out . I just got a new studio and have a very fresh painting unfinished sitting there, and with all the travelling this year, (just back from Paris)
I am trying to get back to my roots. I just finished also a new form of street art. I think it is wonderful. I met Rembrants great grandson ???? ha ha ! ( would you beleive it ) He showed me all around Paris and his studio , ( we met by chance in a restraunt ) I had him keep the owner busy as I signed my name under a Modigliani painting , ha ha ha ! Now! we have made a meeting date for later , what a pal he was. He loved my erotic art, (As the French do) I have Paris in Glasgow finished here and it looks wonderful at night when it lights up (solar powered) but with a Scottish lamp post ha ha ! Cheers all xxxxx

Thats great news! nothing like a new studio to give you fresh inspiration to make your mark once more.
What luck to meet that french fella.. i imagine your experienced writings will be inspiration enough for the flow of your creative paintings.. can't wait to see them!
Try not to dwell too much on the past, too much sadness will break your spirit, remember the happiest moments that have made you, YOU..
