"Famous Quotes"

by
Infamous
Folks

As poets, we know the time, energy, and forethought that goes into writing our 'next best' poem. If we think about reaching into the core of our artistic selves, we have a message that drives the way we write. It's sort of self-mantra that influences our thoughts, and ultimately, our work as poets.

Many look to the great poets of the past and present generations for insightfulness. Ralph Waldo Emerson one said, “A great man is always willing to be little.” And poet Leonard Cohen says, “There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.”

If you were to share your light, your thoughts about writing poetry - what would you say? If you could sum it up, condense it, share your wisdom, what would YOUR poetry quote be?

"Poetry can be a secret weapon that unleashes mountains of wizardry on an unsuspecting audience of innocent readers!"

"Writing poetry is an adventure many must miss- except those special souls with a knack for artsy wisdom; they should pack lightly and be on their way."

Poetry is the writing within our souls that flow freely creating and forming the "Art of Poetry" itself....

My Poems

Post  Little Owl on Thu Mar 29 2012, 21:06

My brain is my sketch pad
memories my ink
the pen is my instrument
it writes what I think
I do not know from where they come
or how them I found
but poems appear like magic
that are lost if not written down
